What is the Recruitment Process @ NTS India?
The below write-up will explain the process of recruitment @ NTS India for all home-based employees. Please go through the below process.

Eligibility: Candidates should have at least 2 years MT experience (apart from training duration).

Once you apply and/or are approached by NTS India, your profile is captured in our database with the basic contact details.

After your profile with the basic contact details is created in the database, we will send you a URL (you just need to copy and paste the link to your Internet Browser). Using this link, you can update your profile from the comfort of your house itself. Once you complete updating your own profile, you need to inform the Recruitment Manager that you have submitted your complete profile.

Step2: The Recruitment Manager will take things forward for you and assign the Theory (LOM) Test and the Transcription/proofing tests through our Centralized Online Testing Software (COTS). Using this software, you can take up the tests at any of our office, closest to you. In addition to the LOM and Transcription/Proofing tests, you will also have to write an essay on select topics.

You will have a minimum of 3 transcription tests and 5 proofing tests with maximum length of the files being 15-17 minutes approximately in total duration for all the files. You can expect to complete the tests in about 4-5 hours’ time maximum, though you have a total of 10 hours’ time to complete the tests, LOM + Transcription/Proofing tests.

Step4: Once you complete the transcription test, please allow us 3 working days to evaluate your profile. If you clear the tests, your profile will be discussed with the respective managers and propose you for a suitable designation (based on your performance in the transcription tests) after 4 days of you completing the tests.
Step5: You will be scheduled for a telephonic interview with our Production Team. Once you are selected and designated, the Recruitment Manager will hold discussions with you regarding the designation offered, compensation, growth opportunities, benefits provided by the company, facilities offered, etc. This step will happen immediately after you are designated by the Production Team.

An Offer Letter (in 2 copies) will be sent to the HBE on the same day by the Recruitment Team with your expected Date of Joining and preferred work location. You need to sign the company copy and send it back to us. You will also be informed as to what documents you need to send to us before your Expected Date of Joining.

Upon receipt of the copy of the offer letter duly signed by you, the HR Executive of the respective work location will send the employment papers for your signatures to the postal address as provided by you and as updated in our database one week to 10 days prior to your Expected Date of Joining. Please ensure the full and correct postal address is provided to our Induction Coordinators. Once you send the signed employment papers back to us along with the other relevant documents (in photocopies), we will take the induction process forward. Please note you need to send the signed employment papers before the date of your Expected Date of Joining. If not, your Date of Joining will be extended and no induction will be done if we don’t receive the signed employment papers and relevant documents.

Step8: On the scheduled Date of Joining and after you are done with the Joining Formalities, you will be put across to the respective Induction Team, who will start the induction process on the platform that you have been selected for. The Induction Process for home-based employees has been explained below.
Home-based Employee INDUCTION STEPS
1. Once your status code is moved to 5 (Offer Letter issued), the Recruitment Manager will send an e-mail to the HBE Induction Coordinator to send out the software installation e-mail.
2. The HBE Induction Coordinator will send the software installation e-mail based on the platform you are mapped and make sure the software is installed.
3. Upon receipt of the HBE contracts and supporting documents, the HR executive will move the status code from 5 to 16 (Active Status).
4. Once the HBE profile is moved to status 16 by the HR executive, the tech team will create VPN ID and intranet email ID and update the same in HRMS.
5. Once the VPN ID and intranet email is created for the HBE, the team manager will send the account specifics and questionnaire to the HBE’s intranet email ID and update the HRMS accordingly. Team manager will also send a request to HBE Induction Coordinator to have the VPN and Outlook configured on HBE’s computer.
6. The HBE Induction Coordinator will contact the HBE and orient him/her on Editscript, Fiesa, FOLA, VPN, Outlook, etc. and then configure the VPN and Outlook on the HBE’s computer. Once this is complete, the HBE Induction Coordinator will send an email to the team manager informing that the orientation is complete.
7. Once the VPN and Outlook is configured on HBE’s computer, the HBE will answer the account specifics questionnaire and send it to his/her team manager.
8. Upon receiving the answered account specifics questionnaire, the team manager will update the HBE’s priority details on HRMS and have the platform ID created and will have the HBE start working.
9. The HBE should be starting work latest by the second day.
10. If the team manager is on leave/off on the HBE’s date of joining, he/she should delegate duty to the covering team manager on the floor who will take care of the HBE.

HBE Candidates – Please note that you need to inform the above executive if you are NOT able to start with the Induction Process (before signing the employment papers) due to unavoidable circumstances, i.e., health issues, internet connectivity, etc.
HBE Program:
1. The HR Executive of the respective work location will take care of the new hire joining formalities and induction will be handed over to the Induction Coordinators.
2. Work timings – 6 am to 5:59 am will be considered a working day for that day, i.e., if HBE works on 01-March-2010 from 10 pm to 6 am (02-March-2010), this will be considered as working day for 01-March-2010.
